I has this on tap at Bells. It was an orange beer with white head. Not much aroma graced this beer, which fits with a mild. The hop flavor was a surprise it was quite spicy, perhaps they used a lager hop? Otherwise it has a great malt backbone, with a biscuitty nuttiness and is a great mild.

Om tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Served in a pint glass.

Pour is a light copper color with a thin white head. Bit of lacing on the way down. The nose is fairly light with a hit of earthy malt and some mild floral-ish hops. Flavor is a bit kalty with a very mild roast presence and some bread. Earthy hops in the background. Light body with good carbonation and a lingering bitterness. Could use a bit kore body with the light flavor profile. Nothing special, but pretty decent.

I had this one on tap at Bells. It was not a bad beer but expected more from Bells. I was expecting a nice English Mild but got an Americanized version that was very drinkable but not outstanding.

A- Very clear but a nice dark color with ruby notes.
S- Had very little hop aroma and no esters to speak of
T- Very drinkable but was earthy. Not too heavy
M- I think it was slightly astringent but not so much it ruined the beer.
D- Definitely a drinkable beer.

A new brew from Bells. It's a very sessionable brown ale. Served in a pint glass, it's clear but dark, a nice brown/ruby color. Slight white head. Nose is caramel malts. Taste is earth and malts. Pretty good mouthfeel. Simple and straightforward, but a nice offering form Bells.

Review from notes. Poured from tap at Eccentric Café into a clean, clear glass. The style of this beer, to me, is clearly an English Mild. I will send in a message inquiring about a change in style name.

A Medium brown translucent with no head and no lacing. Appropriate to style but a bit boring looking. 3.0

S No smell. Repeated sniffs revealed maybe some light grains, a touch of alcohol. I realize that this is the style but really, there was not much smell. 2.5

T Muted wheat or grain taste that is right on target with the style and despite the lack of smell the taste is a very nice, gentle grain based ale. 4.0

M Thin but beefed up a bit by the nice muted wheat, grain tastes. 3.5

D Excellent which is, I believe, the point of the style. Really, though, I could have several of these before realizing it. 4.5
