A: Rusty brown with thin white head that leaves little lacing.
S: Lots of malt with some spice, caramel and brown sugar. A little rootbeer.
T/M: Mouthfeel is nice and smooth. Medium bodied. Nice hop presence. Hops smack right up front and are big, but balanced nicely by malty brown sugar and caramel. Finish leaves you toungue tingling with spice. Little alcohol perception becuase the of hoppy finish, and if this is really 8.4 % abv like the last reviewer reported, that's stunning to me.
D: Again, very high for a DIPA and if it's 8.4%, then it's extremely high.
Ovr: This is a very, very good brew. Seemed to me like a Sam Adams on steroids that was much better balanced. The guy who sold me this proclaimed it "better than Hopslam" which to me it is not, Hopslam is an unbeliveable beer, but this is just simply really good.

Pours a copper color with a white head leaving plenty of lace down the snifter. The aroma is fruity if anything, with notes of citrus, tree fruit, dried assorted fruit, alcohol and pine. In the taste, more grapefruit, other citrus, peach, and pineapple. There are also more earthy and piney elements going on which add a solid bitterness. Alcohol content is noticeable but does not detract from the flavors. Full bodied, well carbonated brew. Overall, this is a Hopsoulution I can endorse. It dials in lots of fruit flavor without actually containing fruit.

Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.
A - Pours hazy amber orange with a nice one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a small ring around the edge, leaving sticky webs of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of caramel, toffee, pine needles, earthy hops, dash of fresh fruit and plenty of mildly toasted sweet malt.
T - Starts off with toffee and pine resin quickly being joined by the earthy and fruity hops and finally the sweet caramel malt. Finish is a little sweet with some backing dryness, lingering long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Slick, sweet feel with some dryness after each sip.
O - A decent DIPA. I am always interested in trying new to me Bell's beers but I have had better from them.
