pint glass. bottled on 10/13/11.
a - pours copper in color with a finger of coarse, bubbly tan head. after calming i get a thin film and a few small spots of lacing.
s - clove, toasted bread, faint funkiness.
t - rich carmel malt, bready and sweet. faint notes of spice and grape. has a light, herbal sort of bitterness that provides just enough balance to the sweetness.
m - full in body, slightly sticky, medium carbonation.
o - a solid beer and quite enjoyable on this cold december night. really glad that they didn't try to add a bunch of spices to this, it's festive enough! i wish bell's regular beers were as good as their seasonals. recommended.
