Had this off a hand pull cask @ the Dilly Deli in Hamilton last Holiday season. Wow awesome Bourbon ,oak, vanilla it's hard to say anything that hash't already been said about this beer. Seen this pop up and thought damn i've had that so I guess I need to rate it! Smooth the way a stout needs to be and the hand pull with the low carbonation make it that much smoother and creamier..A real treat!

a: essentially black in color, and capped with a layer of deep mocha carbonation
s: rich nose of dark chocolate and silky roasts underneath big aromas of oak and bourbon, notes of creamy lactose, mildly hopped
m: thick, whole milk bodied ale with a light level of carbonation
t: thick flavours of dark cocoa and lactic sugars completely full of sweet, rich bourbon and waterlogged oak alongside full but subtle roasts, great vanilla flavors, absurdly complex with a long finish, all the best of the cask
d: enjoyed a couple pints
two 10 oz pours at the Maduro pre-taste Bell's party

Great looking viscous oily black motor oil with a tiny bit of mocha head.
Jesus I love Bell's barrel aged beers. Wonderful bourbon notes. Vanilla roasted malts, toffee chocolate and hints of stale coffee. Bourbon is the key here though.
Just a wonderful beer. So much depth and complexity added from the barrel aging process. Big roasted quality with a huge bourbon kick. Alcohol is very apparent but works well with the nuances the tosted oak adds. Same roasty quality as the nose. Thick and creamy mouth. Chocolate slight toffee, wood tannins with a light vanilla finish that lasts and lasts.

On tap at the Big Pour, 4 oz samples in plastic cups but pretty much unlimited supply. Very black and opaque with some reddish hues when held up in the light. Aroma was that of vanilla, bourbon, sherry, alcohol and rich roasted malt. Very complex flavors that changed if you gave it a chance to warm up. Flavor was that of a rich imperialstout with boubon barrel and some slight oaky notes. Really looking forward to more Bell's beers when they start distributing in AZ next month.

Wow! This poured black. It almost looked like oil except for the slight head. Big smack of vanilla as I brought it to my nose. This is like drinking a dark chocolate candy bar with the bonus of alcohol. Lots of chocolate and coffee flavors going on. Very complex. This is really good and there is no strong alcohol taste. Not overly sweet either which is a plus for my palate. Nicely done and worth seeking out. Not sure you could drink more than one at a setting but you would want to.

On tap at Bell's Eccentric Cafe
A: Pours espresso black, little to no head. Hints of amber on the head from the cherry. The body looks syrupy with very low carbonation.
S: Huge cherry and bourbon nose. Sweet malt undertones. When it was poured from tap, it was a little cold. I think there would be stronger notes as it warms a little.
M/T: Full bodied. Very syrupy and slippery on the tongue. Not as creamy as I expected it to be. Huge cherry blast, followed by a warm bourbon flavor. Finishes malty and tart. Alcohol burns the throat as it goes down. Not as huge as I thought it would be, which I appreciated. Makes it more drinkable. Like a cherry liqueur.
D: Huge APV, syrupy and bourbon makes it a sipper. The aftertaste backs up a little. A very good 1 glass experience.

Poured a black color with a moderate creamy brown head that diminished slowly and produced sticky legs and fair lacing. Good roasted malt, licorice and woody bourbon aroma. Full body with a smooth texture. Complex sweet stout flavor with a smooth bourbon woody finish. Very well balanced complex barrel stout. This is a standout beer.
