Poured into a Beach Brewing Co. kolsch glass. Hazy, fizzy yellow with wheat and pale malt nose. Soft but quick-to-dissipate head.
Tangy and sour, but not so sour your mouth puckers, this is a very refreshing and light brew offered by Bell's. Light wheat flavors accompanied by sour candy notes. Lemon and lemongrass hint toward the end. Light bodied and feels a bit like champagne in the mouth. I really like the crispness.
In summary: a light -- but slightly funky -- sour brew that should work well on its own or with some lighter foods (e.g., nice green salad with lots of avocado and tomato).
An excellent summer session ale. Great to drink while grilling -- the low AVB will lead to fewer fires!
