Appearance: pours a deep and earthy orange color. A finger or just more of an off white head. Strong retention and a serious lacing left behind. Some haziness but not quite opaque.

Smell: strong crystal malt sweetness. Medium hop bite. Some citrus, pine and earth.

Taste: opens up with a slight crystal malt base that is quickly cut away by citrusy to piney hops. Some earthiness and additional toasty malts come by at the end.

Mouthfeel: crystal sweetness lingers a bit and mixes with some lingering bitterness. Light body and slight refreshing qualities.

Overall: a solid esb but doesn't quite pull all the way away from the crowd for me.

Draft at Bells.

Amber with no head. Aroma is pine and funk. Is this what they mean by "dank"? I got a little of that here.

Taste is tart lemon, grapefruit. Bitter hop finish. Nice and refreshing for this style. I would come back for more of this one.
