12 oz bottle,poured into A Duvel tulip.Served at 55 degrees.
A. Dark unfiltered body, with about a one finger tan head that disappears quickly.
S. I get big chocolate notes right away, followed by some dark fruits and sweet malts.Getting some licorice in the back.Maybe some alchohol in the nose as well.
T. Pretty sweet, alot like the smell.Lots of chocolate and raisons, figs.A little roast in there.Still some alchohol burn present.
M. Feel is pretty damn good, I would say on the lighter side of medium, not bad at all.Good carbonation for this, not a ton just right.Nice aftertaste.
Overall I was very pleased with this. One of the better strong ale's I have had.Pretty close to an Imperial Stout in my opinion.Glad I got to try this.
