This one is from Bitterbill, cheers Bill!
Pours an effervescent mahogany/ebony with a thumb of mocha colored head. Nice viscosity,a trace of lacing & nil on head retention
S: Dark fruittyness, by the bushel, cherries & plums mostly, some boozey figs
T: Plums, dryness, brown sugar & a touch of cinnamon, plus brown bread & dark cherry, plus molasses & licorice as advertised. Figgyness, dryness, & black cherry as this warms. Finishes dry, plummy & spicy ( cinnamon & licorice ) & some leafy hops
MF: Rich & chewy, not much carbonation
Drinks really easy for the style, but the ABV catches up after about 6 ozs. Nice effort, was expecting a bit more to be honest
Serving type: bottle
