Tawny and cloudy yellow body with a tight-bubbled, impenetrable-looking head that is smooth and long-lasting. Perhaps a bit light in color to be called a true amber ale. Mild aroma of fruit, juicy and citrusy in the nose. Full in the mouth, almost chewy -- very nice mouthfeel. Interesting slightly tangy aftertaste, astringent and hoppy.
Higher and lighter in the mouth than some other amber ales that I've had. Very drinkable. An enjoyable beer and a fun introduction to Bell's, which has up to now not been available here in Virginia.
