Hazy, golden, almost orange. Big, fluffy head with strong lacing.
Smells of wheat and grass. Smelled like a wheat beer from the first whiff. Smell isn't that powerful.
Tastes floral and malty, the wheat taste from the smell is there as well. Beer reminded me of some Czech Pilsners brewed in the US without the crisp finish. Certainly not what I would expect from an APA, also not a very big flavor. Lacked the citrus and hops that most APA's are going with today. Probably a bit too muchc wheat and floral flavors.
Easy drinking, smooth, not too crisp, light carb. Would be easy to put back a few too many of these, but with the low ABV I wouldn't feel too guilty of it.
Hard to describe overall. Not a great representation of the style. If I were in the mood for an APA, this wouldn't be my choice, but if I were in the mood for something a bit different, this could be a great choice. For how cheap and easy it is to get, I'll probably buy it again.
I'm reviewing this after drinking three over two weeks. It isn't quite as good as I thought it was the first time I had it.

Backlogged review from camping in St. Mary, MT. Full notes taken on my phone.
A- Slightly cloudy golden body poured from the 12oz bottle to a goblet. A white cap builds to about one finger with a foamy thick texture. Decent retention leads to a thick frothy ring dropping sheets and rings of lace on the glass.
S- Probably just about equal balance of hops and malts for me here. Hops are spicy, floral, earthy with a touch of fruit. Malts give biscuit and pale caramel notes.
T- Hops gain an edge here and soak the taste buds with floral and spicy notes with hints of citrus, earth and grass beyond that. This is balanced by cereal grain, biscuit, pale caramelized and slight malt sweetness. Just a bit of fruit from the yeast.
MF- Light bodied with a foamy texture with any agitation. Carbonation at a medium high level and a medium spicy bitterness coats the palate in the finish.
Solid pale ale that brings a solid dose of floral and spicy notes rather than the intense fruity and citrus bombs that trend today. Spicy hops balance nicely with the malts used for a base.
