Golden amber body with a thick, creamy head; loads of foam rings on the glass. Fully roasted grain smell with a pinch of ripe apricot floating about. Mild grain flavors carrying a soft, sweet maltiness with a dirty hop bitterness underneath it all; cardboard. Soft and smooth feel with a medium-light body; dry.

A fair brew with an overall weird (if not disagreeable) flavor. The malt sweetness is underwhelming while the hop bitterness is too sharp and the overall feel seems overly dry. In many ways it comes across like an astringent slice of semi-dessicated tangerine. I'd give it a second shot, but I'm in no hurry to revisit this beer anytime soon.

Poured a hazy orange-gold with a thick foamy white head. The head has great retention (aided by huge carbonation in the Sam Adams glass) and leaves some slick lacing. The aroma is very mild with light bread notes and hints of grapefruit citrus. The taste is about the same and seems pretty bland. It's also pretty thin and has a bit too much carbonation for me. It's not terrible, but it could use more flavor.

A: Honey yellow with a slight orange tinge, cloudy with a dust storm of yeast particles within.

S: Caramel, hard water, dried grass, very light essence of orange. Light and delicate smelling.

T: A caramel orange quality that is light, not syrupy or sweet, but it feels as if it would become that until it suddenly turns to a bitterness that is long and dull and continuing like an English style. The bitterness is more pronounced than the prior caramel like quality. Its more of a ruby grapefruit pith, not the flesh but the pith and a little flesh together. A certain cereal malt as well.

M: Light syrupy body, but clean bitter dry finish. Medium low carbonation.

O: Drank in Frankenmuth, MI where I picked it up at Kroger. Great brew, love the almost syrupy feel that ends in a smooth clean finish, the way it toys with the mouth is great.
