Pay order and pick up at the bar; cash only on the Industrial edge of Kalamazoo. Great ambiance in an old warehouse on the edge of town. Fabulous stained glass: good choice, too because the view isn't much, but the food and beer are superb.

Cafe-only brews are clearly labeled on the board. Everyone at the bar added their suggestion to my flight. Welcoming, warm both in the building and people. Tolerant of my lost-tourist wanderings before I made it back to the bar to order. Great, inexpensive fare. Excellent Indian-inspired spiced cashew soup, pastrami sandwich and generous beer mustard, cheese spread and pretzel appetizer. Will make an excuse to return.

Pub-only brews:
Pub-only offerings include an experimental (Hole in the Bucket) light yellow-orange ale with bright hops (3-6-9) and a light head. Sharp and mild, light yet flavorful. Family resemblance to 3 floyds gold leader.

Mild does it's English brethren well with roasty chocolate malts and overall mildness for session drinking. Slight head; consistent with English mild ales.

Sparkling has some sourness: Belgian and fruity, it is clearly an American brewed in Flemish tradition rather than a clone. Really smooth and a great summer beer.

Wild one sour brown is rich and spur with strong citrus acid- sweet-tart flavor. Too much for me, bit would accompany fish and chips nicely. Tart tart tart.

Oracle double IPA head going strong after 15 minutes. Bitter, earthy hops with citrus and pine. Hopsplosion! Very very dry and light mouthfeel. Lightly banana hints, wet hay, and smells a little of burlap. Finish is long, bitter, and pulls at the throat. Drys the mouth, readies for more.

As pub one-offs, didn't think they needed their own reviews.
