I bought this at my local supermarket at the begining of summer. I guess It was more the time for sweet fruit beers.

The smell is very syrupy, a bit like very sugary marmalade. No trace of alcohol, hop, malt,… Reminds me of grenadine. Its head was very fluffy, very pink and very (quickly) gone.
The colour is very pink-purple.
The taste is very superficial: starts off with a lot of carbonation on the tongue, thick, sour-sweet dark berries. Bitter-sour citrus aftertaste. Notes of chocolate and spirits like cassis.

Not a world shocking beer, a good idea on a sweating hot summer day maybe.

Appearance: Looks like a Kriek. Pink with a minimal head that leaves quickly.

Smell: Smells like plums.

Taste: Super sweet dominated by flavors of summer berries, and dark cherries

Mouthfeel: Very light.

Overall: a drinkable beer. Would not go out of my way again to try. (277 characters)

Nose high in fruits, probably in syrup or woodfruits juice with a mouth so sweet that quickly becomes sickening. The taste of beer is almost absent and the body is extremely sweet and refreshing. Another example of what I call "bières diabolos". (246 characters)

The beverage is clear red with hints of brown, a pink head that settles quickly leaving a few lacing and has small curtains.

The smell is very berry, forest fruit juice.

The taste is very sweet, red berries, slightly yeasty. Reminds mainly, or solely, of lemonade.

Medium carbonation, small foamy bubbles, slightly sticky, but actually some dryness at the end.

No, mostly slightly fermented berry juice. Does not strike anything in me. (439 characters)

This pours cherry red with a generous pink head.

Nose not too bad. A nice mix of fruit & a hint of fruity sourness.

The best part about the taste is that it's not too artificial which I found was the problem with their cerise.

Light bodied.

I'm generally not a fan of fruit beer but this one is ok. (302 characters)

for a fruity beer, it's one of the best... honestly, i'm more into bitterness and dryness, but when i'm thirsty, and when i want fruits, my best choice is to go to some pubs in Mons-Belgium, and found a pub that serve it on-tap... it's always a success for a great afternoon... the fruits taste like... fruits (that is not always the case for fruit-beers!!!), the appearance is great... (386 characters)

BB 19-06-06.Pink head and a deep red beercollor. Nose is very sweet, fruity mostly framboise and blueberries but also a very whee maltarome that shows lots of oxidation. Taste is oversweet and lemonade like. Quiet some sourness in it and maybe a bit of malts that come out after sweet sour taste is gone. Hard to dig for me but people who like the "atreficial" lambicbrews probably like this too. (396 characters)

tap@Chez Moeder Lambic, from notes:

A: deep pink/red/rhubarb colour with small pink head
S: smells of strawberry jam & syrup
T: like the smell, bit like mashed wild strawberries plus jam & syrup, sweet, not artificial, the basis appears to be a wheat beer but the fruits really dominate
M: bit jam-like somehow but still overall light body, not much carbonation
D: bit too sweat to drink to much, nice if you like jam or forestfruits but can quickly get too much (463 characters)

I poured this in a small tulip chilled.

The color is deep red like raspberry juice with pink head and very fine bead.3.75 The smell is decent with very sweet aroma that is fruity like a cooler with floral and berry odor dominate with a light sugar accent. 3.25. The feel is very sweet and carbonated like a spritzer with sugary and fruity juicy almost syrupy texture but semi-dry as it finishes with low acidity and no bitterness to balance. 3

The taste is very strange raspberry mixed with currant juicy yet not tart very sweet with low acidity and slight berry candy-like taste w/ mild dark fruit sweetness and earthy finish w/ low yeast in the flavor.3 Overall I was not pleased - not worth having again -once is enough I suppose there are worse examples in the fruit beer style but not for me-I guess it isn't bad if you enjoy Lindeman's lambic perhaps 2.5 (864 characters)

I ordered this beer for my fiance at Moeder Lambic during our final night in Brussels, because she desired a sweet, fruity beer. The bartender sized her up and knew exactly what beer to draw.

Expecting something crummy (such as of the Lindemanns variety), I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. OK, it's not a real lambic, and it's not especially complicated. But for a sweet beer, it does have an excellent taste and a pretty good mouthfeel. The fruity smells don't seem at all artificial, and the taste on my tongue didn't offend me by being too syrupy. (I agree with previous reviews that head and malt were limited, but I think that's normal for this kind of beer.)

Not what I would normally drink, but for a sweet fruity beer, it is exceptionally good. It's worth a glass. (781 characters)
