Light or pale golden in color with a nice white head that fades rather quickly but has a small cap throughout drinking. Nose of white grape and pear with a bit of what seems to be acidity. Flavor is citrus (big lime), pear and a really nice light acidity. Supremely drinkable and dry. Such a great beer.

Light, crisp and refreshing. Perfect beer for this hot and humid day. Nice prickling carbonation. Wheat, lemon, Grannysmith apple and brett. Some funkiness. Minerally and dry. Short finish. Pretty delicious.

An absolute spot on grisette. Light prickly carb on a clean blonde body. White table grapes. White wine acidity. Beautiful beer in the glass and on the palate.

Batch #1, 750mL bottle. Served in a tulip glass. Beer pours straw yellow in color and forms an enormous white head. Slightly turbid, but still mostly clear and very pale. Aroma is very fresh and smells lagery to me -- maybe some lemon, wheat? Flavor is confidently tart, and even astringent. I'm not a big fan of sours, and this beer is right on the edge of being too sour for me. I can appreciate that in spite of its sourness, it's flavorful and well balanced. Others might even find it sessionable. Though for me a small glass would have been enough to fully enjoy this. I think I would have enjoyed this beer more without the Brett -- I the wheat and rye flavors are really good here, but lost for me. Indeed, I enjoyed Enlightenment Ale's Rite of Spring way more.

No bottling date, batch 1, just released a few weeks ago.

A: Pours a very pale, cloudy straw (later pours are EXTREMELY cloudy). Enormous frothing white head that's pouring out of the bottle as soon as I uncap it. Head is light and fizzy and all-enduring. Eventually fizzes out, leaving small little chunks of light lacing left behind.

S: Very wheaty with tart lemons backing it up. Very lightly grassy.

T: Very smooth and wheaty up front. Touch of spice, maybe rye? Finish is a burst of bitter lemon peel and sour lemon juice. Very dry, especially lingering in the aftertaste with the tart citrus flavors.

M: Medium bodied, ultra smooth and soft with a crisp, dry finish. Perfect saison body.

O: Another interesting brew from Enlightenment. Smoothest wheat I've had in a long time. Tart and bitter lemon flavors balance it in the opposite direction. Mouthfeel is soft and crisp and drinkability is off the chart as a result. Great saison without veering off into pure sour/funky crazyland. Perfect summer brew.

Pours a pale straw with white head. Slightly funky, yeast aroma. There is some lemony citrus, that funkytown yeast that Enlightenment seems to have dialed in (good timing, right?), and a little bit of grain. It is quite effervescent, but with this effervescence and the citrus character, it's super dry. It's so balanced. There is some nice wheat backbone, even at this low abv. This is a great grisette and especially good in the Summer time.

I understand that, if you see this, you're looking at a beer from a brewery without a lease. A rare bird. Lovely, fruity brett character over an effervescent wheat flavor…but not as fully realized and distinct as one might hope.

An amazing saison for summer. Light and bright body, the feel is effervescent and bubbly, with contrasting tart and wheat notes while being very smooth. Taste and smell are the same, with tons of fruit: pear, apple, lemon, orange, peach, flowers, hay, herbal notes, brett, some tartness with mineral undertones. Very well balanced, fantastic!

Pours a very pale yellow. Slight haze and huge fluffy white head.
Smell is brett with a touch of acidity. Lots of cereal grains.
Taste is interesting. Slightly tart, solidly funky with some fruity, vegetal flavors that resemble some heavily dry hopped beers. I don't think this was dry hopped so I'll crack this up to the magic of Brettanomyces. Very organic and well integrated flavors.
Highly carbonated and effervescent on the palate.Very refreshing.
Not the most complex brew on first blush but there is a lot going on flavor-wise and it's all very well constructed. Very nice beer.
