Thanks to Beer Advocate for allowing us to review beers from closed breweries. Had notes for this one but was unable to upload until now. Has nice rustic grass, wheat and yeast, but the hops are bright and new world in character. Finishes arid with lots of carbonation. Otherwise pretty neutral beer, would be nice for a spring time picnic

Really dry and bretty, with a bitter finish. This isn't really a style I dig.

Large, dense head--at least four fingers thick. It settles slowly and in a lumpy fashion. Surprisingly little lace, only a couple of spots. The liquid is a cloudy straw color.
The smell is a mild combination of pale malts, bittering hop and brewer's yeast. Rather nondescript.
The flavor starts off soft with the palest of malt tastes. In the swallow, the bite of the hop bitters kicks in. The combination works as a refreshing easy-to-drink golden ale. I would like to see the body be a little more full although the low carbonation does help.
