I know I reviewed this back in Dec/Jan, but not sure how the review disappeared. I've been seeing a lot of my reviews disappear lately I think. Not sure what's going on. Trying to do this from my scribbled notes that i left back then.
Pours a nice creamy almost 1 finger darker colored head that fades semi slowly with nice lacing, just about pitch black color.
Nose has some light peppermint, little chocolate stout and hot cocoa, faint caramel and brown malts.
Taste brings more peppermint, again the hot cocoa and a bit of toasted chocolate with it bringing the typical peppermint patty thing. Malts bring mild sweetness, a little creamy even, and bit of caramel toasty brown malt.
Mouth is med bodied but a bit creamy and rich, decent carb.
Overall not bad, nothing to write home about but a decent overall stout with enough mint to let you know. Fairly tasty and drinkable.

Thanks to BPK59 for sharing this growler a while back. Reviewed from notes.
A - Poured into Duvel tulip a deep, dark brown with a one finger mocha head that faded to leave a sticky side lacing and a solid light blanket.
S - Light mint leaf and soft alcohol (according to BPk59 the mint leaves were soaked in vodka before being added to the beer...interesting) with light chocolate. The chocolate is hidden/masked/overwhelmed. Wish the chocolate was more pronounced.
T - Nice minty notes here definitely picking up that "dry" mint hopping. Chocolate comes out as it warms to make a junior mint/York peppermint patty flavour. Nice lingering slightly boozy mint finish.
M - Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, typical for the stout style.
O - Overall this wasnt a bad beer. The booze was a bit strong for me on the nose and flavour. Even with that it still isnt a bad beer.

750ml THB swing-top bottle filled at the brewery.
First THB glass pours with a scant 1/4" dark brown head, over the opaque dark brown/black brew. Head is gone in a flash, a few bubbles protect the rim, with leggy lasting lace. Aroma is dark malts with a touch of mint.
Taste is dark sweetness at the start, chalky chocolate in the middle, which finds the mint start and then play with the dark malts to the close. Mouthfeel is slickery smooth, and drinkability is okay. Not sure the mint works for me very well here, but it's not overpowering, which is a plus to me. Nice for a limited edition holiday brew though.
