Reviewed from notes as I received a growler of this from BPK59. Poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Pours an orange hazy hue with a one finger white head that fades to leave a soapy blanket with nice lacing and halo.

S - Dank citrus pops out of this along with nice wet hops and light tropical mango/pineapple. Light malty sweetness and pine resin as well.

T - Bitter hop oils and resins. Lots of the tropical fruits are gone sadly but replaced by a bitter pine forest. Nicely done but a bit deceiving.

M - Mouthfeel is solid. Nice, oily pine bitter finish with nice carbonation. Well done.

O - Overall this was a delicious fresh IPA. Wish the tropical hops were on the flavour instead of just the nose but still, enjoyable.

750ml bottle filled at the brewery yesterday.

a: Hazy orange with an inch tall white head which receded to uneven surface foam and dense lacing.

s: Moderate citrus, leaning towards orange.

t: A nice citrus flavor, moderate hop bite lingers slightly on the sides of the tongue. Sweet/tart orangy aftertaste. As it warms, and/or as I get towards the bottom of the bottle, I get a few pretty strong grassy notes that remind of Heady Topper. No kidding! But they don't linger and persist as much as Heady's do.

m: Medium to full. "Chewy" comes to mind. Body to burn, Smooth.

o: The nice fellow who filled the growler said he prefers this over Julius. I have been to Tree House twice now when Julius was supposed to be available, but because I was there on Saturday afternoons it was out both times. This was worth the trip and the money I spent though, and it's the third excellent non-Julius TH brew I have tried out of three. Great to be able to get top quality fresh in my general area.
