Canned 9/9/16
Pours a rich creamy 1 finger darker head that fades semi slowly, nice lacing very dark brown color.
Nose dark malts, toasted porter and alittle roasty note, cocoa, biscuity cookie dough, milk chocolate, creamy lactose or oats, faint berry.
Taste brings more cocoa and dark malts, plenty of roast, a touch of char, biscuity cocoa cereal, a touch of creamy lactose and milk chocolate, a touch yeasty, very little berry but more like berry seed tannin bitterness, a little bitter hop note, and late bitter roasty char. Finish dry bitter roast and char.
Mouth is med bod, a little creamy, decent carb.
Overall berry is very light, base malt is decent until the roast comes through a bit too much.

Pours dark maroon black with creamy dark tan foam head. Smells like jammy blackberries, roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, slight coconut, caramel, molasses, dark brown sugar, toasted bready malts, graham cracker, with earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like slightly tart blackberry, roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, slight coconut, caramel, molasses, dark brown sugar, toasted bready malt, graham cracker, with earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium-light bodied, creamy and slick with moderate carbonation. Overall a really nice blackberry porter.

Dark, dark brown where no light shines through. Creates a one-finger, beige head from a bar pour. Settles to a thin layer of fine bubbles. Minimal lace.
I do not smell any blackberries, but all of the typical porter smells are present--dark chocolate and mild mocha.
The flavor matches the smell, but little else to report. The aftertaste is short. The body is as expected. Overall, a middle-of-the-road porter with no blackberry from what I can tell.
