From a 50 cl bottle in Edinburgh. 7.4% Imperial porter with cocoa and coffee.

A lot of coffee in the nose and faint dark chocolate.
Creamy smooth with well hidden alcohol.
Good balance in tasting despite the dominance of coffee in the nose.

Black body with reddish brown hues and spotty light brown head.

Big coffee aroma with slight cocoa traces
I can't keep up a standard beer review this is full on Americana double shot expresso coffee with a nice level of bitterness, sweetness and slight hop presence to make it drinkable for a latte drinker link me.

Slight bit too much fizz but nothing on the MF to be either heavy going or thin.

I really enjoyed this, it appealed to my dark bitter side lol

Bought a bottle in Edinburgh. On the label it's described as a 'mocha porter'. It's very dark and smells of chocolate and a bit smoky. Head is thick and lingers for quite a while. Taste is hoppy but not overly bitter. Aftertaste is dry and bitterness lingers a while.

330ml bottle bought from The Vineyard, Belfast

Poured a deep dark burgundy red / almost completely black colour... Dirty tan head poured very fairly thick and foamy with a meringue like top.. this faded slowly to good one finger covering... some decent lacing clings to the glass throughout...

Aroma - Roasted chocolate maltiness, light toasted coffee beans, some leathery and slightly sooty notes, toasted bread, burnt toffee, treacle, earthy / cardboard hints, roasted nuts, black cherries, some alcohol just noticeable...

Taste - Lots of toasted dark chocolate malt bitterness, some piney hops, brown sugar, earthy, strong espresso coffee, dried coffee grains, toasted nutty sweetness, some treacle, faint anise...

Feel - Smooth initially then a little sharpness come through... medium bodied... pretty drinkable for 7.4%

Overall - An excellent straightforward Mocha Porter... recommended...

"Mocha Porter brewed with cocoa and demerara, aged on Italian roast espresso beans.
Bitterness: 60IBU
Hops: Simcoe"

500ml bottle poured into a straight pint glass.

Smells dark, and rich, like Kanye W.... Like coffee and roasted, burnt malts, rather.

Tastes very bitter, strong coffee, strong burnt bitter malts, with an added resinous quality in the background from the hops.

Overall a pretty nice beer, might be too much coffee/burnt bitterness for some though.
