Poured from a can into a Bell's tulip. The pour is a light, hazy gold with about 2 fingers of white fluffy head. I get some nice lemony notes on the nose along with an underlying grainy sweetness that makes the beer smell a little like a lemon drop.
Very mild flavor with a nice fruity tartness. Firm feel for such a light, easy-drinking beer. Some stoney cracker-like notes up front and then a flavor like lemon curd and fresh toast. Very little hop character here, just enough to provide an herbal accompaniment to the lemon and wheat character. Still, it drinks like a dry beer and finishes that way with a short lingering lemon-like flavor. Quite refreshing.
This is one of those beers that tastes just fine, but probably tastes a lot better when you're hot and thirsty and need some liquid refreshment fast. It's an interesting offering from West 6th and I appreciate someone trying to liven up a boring style without resorting to the cliched technique of stuffing it full of hops. This is a nice Summer beer.

Lemongrass Wheat on tap at the brewpub in Lexington.
Light amber with excellent clarity. Excellent lacing.
Aroma: lemony, grassy, faint light bread.
Flavor: very nice balance of wheat and lemongrass. Lemongrass seems to displace much of the common banana. Aftertaste is a bit too bitter.
O: excellent for style, and now available in cans.

Poured this into a frosted glass and drank on a hot day after some yard work.
Poured out a hazy golden color with a tight foamy head that quickly settled into a thin lace. The aroma was very light with hints of malt and fruit. The flavor was primarily malt sweetness very almost no bitter hop note at all. The mouth feel was a bit on the thin side. Overall this was not quite what I expected. It's a decent enough beer but not as refreshing as I would like in this style. I'm happy I gave it a try, but I am also happy that I purchased a single first since I probably won't buy this one again.

12 ounce can, one of my friends gave this to me. Served in a Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat glass, the beer pours a hazy dark gold color with a half inch off-white head that lingered around a little while. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice but a bit light, it smells like wheaty/grainy malt, lemongrass/lemon and straw/grass. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some earthy floralness. Mouthfeel/body is light, it's a nice refreshing brew with a good amount of carbonation. Worth a try if you've never had it before, and would be a good choice for a hot day.

Poured into a Florida Beer Co. tapered glass. No freshness date.
A- Pours a medium amber color with a 3/4 inch off-white head that retains very well before reducing to a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a large center bump of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves a broken ring behind.
S- Some slight cereal grain sweetness with a bright shot of lemongrass right after. Smells more like a pale ale than a wheat beer.
T- Bready malt with a moderate hop bitterness and a faint trace of lemongrass in the finish. Still very little to no wheat presence detected. Decently drinkable, just not the expected flavor profile.
M- Small tingle from the hops and medium carbonation. Body is leaning toward the lighter side.
O- Would never have guessed this was a wheat beer if I didn't know beforehand. Would have scored higher if labelled as a pale ale.

I gave this beer a solid 4 all the way around. The mouth feel is very light, which matches the overall taste and smell of the beer. It is not overly hoppy or bitter, which is nice in a warm weather beer sometimes. If you want to drink a beer after being outside in the hot sun, this is definitely the go-to beer for that.
