This fourth beer offered year round in cans is a celebration of malt. Dark and rich with overtones of coffee and dark chocolate, it's chewy and yet smooth at the same time. Brewed at almost imperial porter strength, we add over 60 pounds of the best cacao nibs in each 40 barrel batch.
Malts: 2 row, Pale Chocolate Malt, Munich, Caramunich
Hops: Cascade
Yeast: House Ale
Additions: Organic, fair trade Taza cacao nibs

A - Black amber color with an inch head. Jet black in a pint glass. Light lace.
S - Dark chocolate ,coffee, and almonds.
T - Rich mocha flavor all the way down. Sweetness from the malt stands out but not overpowering and is counterbalanced by the bitterness from the chocolate.
M - Medium bodied cream, almost syrupy.
O - Top notch Porter. Chocolate lovers indulge.

My favorite theatre beer, hands down. Pairs fabulously with a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Never disappointing as a porter, it's bread you can drink.

12oz can stamped 3/10/23 poured into a perfect pint glass at fridge temp, no ABV listed on can. The beer pours dense dark brown with light brown colored head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a web of lacing. The aroma is mild with roasted malt and bakers chocolate. The taste is bittersweet roasted malt with more cocoa, ash and earthy hops. Medium bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very good.

Nice porter with chocolate notes. Nice beer for cold, festive December days. Picked this up as I was staying in Kentucky for work, was a good choice at 6% abv.

L: Black-brown with an ample sudsy head.
S: Roasted malts. Obvious cocoa and espresso.
T: Chocolates, roast, coffee, grain.
F: Medium body, high-level tinny carbonation.
O: A decent porter. Would try a new option before repeating though.

Poured from a 12 oz. can dark almost black color with a café au lait 1/2” head and nice lacing. The dark chocolate aroma is immediately noticeable with coffee and a sort of earthy sweetness like brown sugar. The taste is malty, dark chocolate and coffee with an unexpected bitter but clean finish. I enjoyed this coco porter and will definitely pour another when the opportunity occurs.
