Pours a slightly hazy light golden with a frothy ivory head that lingers.
Pear, clove, and muted green apple are supported by lightly bready malt and Belgian yeast character. Floral notes add complexity.
Flavor reveals more perfume-like notes, accompanied by pear, banana, and booze. The bready malt character is on the sweet side, finishing slightly peppery, along with ethanol.
Body is moderate to full, with comparatively low carbonation and significant alcohol warmth.
Alcohol overwhelms. Esters are somewhat unusual, but definitely beyond the realm of a typical tripel.

Enjoyed from the growler via Jungle Jim's in a snifter. This nice tripel pours a hazy golden amber color with a moderate head of white foam that settles quickly to a thick ring, thin pool, and light sudsy lacing. Nose is sweet candy malts, pears, apples, and light yeasty bread notes. Flavors follow the nose with honey touched candy sugars on the front and apple/pear notes on the sides. Middle of the taste is yeasty bread malt that fade in the back to a subtle herbal hop note mixed with grain alcohol flavors. That said the alcohol is well hidden with low carbonation that finishes with a light grain note. A good tripel made in Kentucky. Nice.
