Actually got to check this place out on my 21st birthday. Already had a great interest in the place because of the great IPA they have crafted know as West Sixth IPA.

Atmosphere - The place has a independent and outdoorsy warehouse type of feel which I find really appealing. Especially for a place your just coming to drink some good craft beer and have some good conversation.

Quality - Not an issue at all here. The quality of everything was great and definitely on all the brews they had available.

Service - They had regular service and there were no problems such as waits or rude people. A lot of down to earth and kind employees. All local oriented people who couldn't have been more friendly.

Selection - The selection is good. A good variety of styles with all brews in-house. IPA, Honey Rye, Wheat, Amber, Stout. All delicious.

Food - No food served by the company, which I don't love. They do offer a food cart on the road during certain times. Not my favorite part of the brewery but not a big deal. I just want GOOD beer! and they supply that.

The value is average..just as affordable as any good craft brewery I would say.

This is a great up and coming brewery that only has room for growth. The have they're IPA canned and just heard an announcement that they are canning there amber. Excited! Great brewery in Lexington, KY.

This beer is better than most of the offerings of West Sixth Brewery. It might be their best. I'm talking about Cocoa Porter brewed with cocoa nibs. It is way better than their interpretation of an IPA. Their IPA is like dating a cat lady without a litter box. This beer actually tastes good and doesn't offend the senses. It doesn't deliver on the cocoa flavor as much as I imagined it would from the name, but it is a good dark porter with slight cocoa hints in the flavor. West Sixth is a new company getting it's feet wet. They will get better. At least I imagine they will out of necessity to survive in a demanding market. West Sixth doesn't have a signature brew, or even a brew they can call their own. They need that. They don't stand out for anything. And based on their IPA, they might even be failing. Seriously, I haven't been exposed to that much cat piss since I volunteered to help a cat lady on social security to fireproof her home.

Very cool place! Went here on a trip to Lexington with a few friends. Very friendly staff, good beers, cheap merch, and they let you bring food in! We brought in some really tasty pizza from Mellow Mushroom and had dinner while we chilled with some beers before an awesome concert at the Lexington Opera House.

Brewery and bar are located in an old bread factory. Some architectural details are left to enjoy. Bar area seems a little antiseptic.

Service was a little cold. Beer highlight is the Lemongrass Wheat.

Stopped by on a trip to Lexington with my spouse on a crummy Thursday afternoon. First of all, don't let the neighborhood discourage you as you approach the brewery. Looks can be deceiving and are here. The place itself is very open and airy with an L-shaped bar with several taps. There are also several tables. The place was actually quite busy for the day and time which is a good sign. The bartender was very knowledgeable about their beers and very helpful. They offer a couple sampler flight options for 8 bucks and they are well worth it. Of course you can get a pint too. They offer 64 ounce growlers (that they keep cold prior to filling) and a rather unique 32 ounce can. I wish we had a designated driver since we had to cut it off at one flight. Even the customers were friendly as we met a really nice guy who was in town on business. This is definitely a place to go back to (with a driver!). The beers were all fresh and excellent as was the atmosphere.
