I've been here several times. Went last night with my wife. Arrived maybe 9pm-ish on a Friday close to peak omicron. They were moderately busy, but no wait for a table. Bar service was fine, though they might be a bit disorganized -- I took my beer directly to the table, but the food we ordered wandered a bit before they figured out who ordered it and where we were sitting.
Selection is good, they always have a variety of interesting things, maybe 24-30 taps, across a number of styles.
It's a somewhat more popular place. It's located in an old mortuary, which is pretty neat.
Food that I've had there has been perfectly fine, but not memorable.

Probably the most unique establishment in which I have eaten and imbibed, being that it is in a restored and renovated defunct funeral home. Food was very good, staff was friendly, and the selection is very solid.

An old mortuary turned bar. That's something.
Place was pretty loud and crowded on a Wednesday evening. Still found bar seating. Server was a tad unfriendly but quick. Beer selection was immense and had a lot of local and PNW beers.
I enjoyed drinking there but also came on a night that weird, shitty music was playing.

Clever name. The bar used to be a funeral home, hence, "The Pine Box." Fairly large selection of craft beers on tap. I like the staff, but I am biased because my brother and my sister-in-law work there. The architecture is old, which I think adds cool points to the vibe.

Housed in a pretty rad former chapel/funeral building in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, this pub has a pretty solid selection of Pacific Northwest Beers. I was pretty impressed with the quality and expedient service. Great place to drink pints!

The coolest bar catered more towards craft beer that I have ever been to. The building is a old funeral home. They atmosphere is amazing.

Having just got a new job down in Denny Triangle, I'm exploring some of the bars on the west side of Capitol Hill. My buddy and I were lucky enough to stumble upon this place yesterday.
It's a damn good beer bar. About 30 beers on tap, with most of them being Northwest selections. When I was there, there was only 1 beer per brewery -- definitely an opportunity to check out a number of breweries. The atmosphere is great; it's in an old mortuary (hence the name) and is furnished with dark woods and warm lighting. Service was reasonable, although the place was ferociously busy at 8 PM and I didn't get a chance to chat with the staff about beer.
I will definitely be returning to the Pine Box. Definitely the best beer bar I've found on that side of the hill.
