They could call this BA Nyquil, cuz it put me to sleep. The abv has a lot to do with it, but also it just relaxed me.
It's bourbon barrel aged. From notes:
I was drinking it outside, a bit dark, so the appearance might not be accurate. Dark brown, rich, kinda caramel or chestnut. Bright, but not clear.
Aroma is rich with caramel, apples, coffee powdery stuff, and vanilla. Some leather and wood.
Big flavors. Caramel, vanilla, wet oak, hickory?. Fermented apples is what comes to mind as a background flavor. I have the regular Beer Wagon, but haven't cracked it open. Would be interesting to see the differences. As it is, this beer is smooth but does have a booziness to it. Being outside, this helps as it's about 23 degrees. And it's awesome. slight smoke on the end. Gonna have to try this one again, inside.
