On tap at Star Pizza in Houston.
A: Interesting color. Not quite as pale as a blonde with no haze like a wit or hefe. Good head retention.
S: Very estery, smells like a wit without the haze. Belgians are not my typical style, but it works well with this beer because its obviously what theyre going for.
T: Great blend between a high abv dubel and an American blonde. Easy drinking but packs a punch. The esters from the nose really shine in the taste.
MF: Good carbonation, not too heavy but also not too light. Finishes great.
Overall I would recommend this beer to someone who likes easy drinking beers with a lot of flavor. 5.7%, drinks more like a 4.5%.

On tap at Downhouse in Houston.
A: Pours a slightly cloudy yellow color. A large white head forms with good retention. Nice lace is left behind as well.
S: Almost a perfume like fragrance at first. Light citrus notes, wheat, and cereal grains. Simple, basic intro to wheat beers.
T: Again, just a simple intro to wheat beers. Light citrus, husky wheat, cereal grains. Nothing bad, just by the books.
M/D: A medium body with a bit higher carbonation. Effervescent, clean and dry. Though a bit on the watery side. Not hard to drink. Something you don't have to think about. Though not a lot that interests me here.
They call this "Somewhere between a Wit, a Blonde, and a Belgian Golden." Which is basically what a Pale Wheat Ale is, and nowhere close to the better Texas wheat beers available. Like 512, Karback, and of coarse Live Oak. Still, not the bottom of the barrel for this "style."
