Some friends and I spent an evening sampling the beers at Selkirk....I'm pretty sure we tried them all, and the only one any of us enjoyed was the Infidel.

Luckily Albertson's by our house sells it......I enjoy Infidel. Is slightly hoppy, but mellow. The Belgian style hops add sweetness and amber color. All around, its pretty darn tasty.

Bottle opened 10.12.14

Pours darker then expected. Mild hops and Belgian spice. I suspect an older bottle.

Mouth coating Belgian, with a biscuity malt base. Good balance between the malt and hop bitterness. Finishes off with a strong spice presence.

Pours a half finger of head on a cloudy dark straw colored body.
The aroma is danky pine, lemon and pineapple.
Despite the high bitter content, the malty sweetness is ever-present. It has some nice spice with some tropical fruit in the background too.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Quite good.

22oz into a tulip. Pours a clear amber w/ a sudsy white head.

Aroma is floral and a little perfumy. A hint of pineapple and citrus.

Taste is floral with a touch of clean sharp pine. Belgian yeast softens the edges. Hop bitterness is balanced by the substantial malt bill. Has a vaguely tea-like quality I can't quite identify.

Mouthfeel is soft and medium-bodied.

Overall a well-crafted imperial Belgian IPA.
