Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass.
Appearence: pours gold in color. Crystal clear. White head that settles down to half a finger and leaves no lacing. Pretty much exactly what you expect from the style.
Nose: bright and perfume-like, floral, citrus notes, but floral is what really shines through.
Taste: a faint breadiness that is overtaken immediately by the floral notes you get on the nose. This beer tastes how it smells. And that is a good thing. Finish is dry and extremely clean.
Mouthfeel: very light on the pallet. Extremely clean on the finish. Flavor is not subtle, but it doesn't linger due to the dry finish.
Overall: it's a more or less perfect example of the style. Kolsch beers are obviously fairly limited in scope. They do what they do and do it well. Pretty much the perfect session beer.

look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.5
Appearance: Extremely clean look. Transparent very pale yellow golden color. Finger and a half of head on the pour. Above average active carbonation in the glass while drinking.
Smell: Aromas of straw and hay hit the nose first. Sweet soft malt backbone is picked up but takes a back seat. Light tropical fruits compliment the straw tones very well.
Taste: Easy going biscuity malt front greets the drinker. That sweetness carries over into the body which adds some fruit and very mild bitterness. Bready finish that leaves a light pleasant sweetness behind.
Mouthfeel: Some lingering malt tones on the finish. Super easy drinking.
Overall: A simple yet well crafted beer. Biscuity malt is prevalent with some fruitiness to add a bit of complexity. Really easy beer to sit back, relax, and just enjoy.
