Look: Drinking out of a can, so NA.
Smell: Smells delicious. Reminds me of other beers I like such as Sapporo Premium or Stella Artois. Kind of a light, bready smell. Almost fruity kind of.
Taste: Similar to the smell, it reminds of of Sapporo or Stella. Hard to describe, but it almost tastes more flavorful. I lose the fruity smell in the taste. It lacks the unpleasant bitterness that I find in those beers though. Similar flavor, but much more drinkable.
Feel: Sticks around in your mouth pleasantly. You can feel the carbonation for sure. Kind of coarse feeling almost.
Overall: Definitely a beer I would buy again. Definitely on my list of favorites. I'd say if I'm not wanting a light beer, I'd definitely choose this over Sapporo or Stella. This is just my personal opinion of course, but that's what reviews are for right?

16 oz can into a stange.

A: Crystal clear golden color with a small fizzy white head fed by a snowglobe of bubbles.

S: Doughy malt, spicy hops, lemon citrus.

T: Sweet biscuity/doughy malt, herbal hops, dry finish.

F: Medium-light bodied, crisp and well carbonated.

A wonderful example of the style.

Enjoying several 0.2L pours at Zum Alten Brauhaus in Köln. Lively, authentic pub with all ages represented and plenty of Kölsch flowing. This is better than I expected. Figured it was a macro version to appeal to the masses but it’s quite good. Slightly sweet with a great malt backbone like any good Kölsch should have. Crisp, refreshing, insanely drinkable, this is what makes the style great.

De Labirratorium. En copa de hefe de Bavaria. Viendo Amazing Spiderman 2. Cuerpo ligero, limpio y crispy. Puede que no impresione por su sabor ni olor, pero resulta ultrabebible

My first of this lovely beer, bottle poured into a Stange.

A brilliant color, similar to a pilsner and totally clear. Carbonation is more modest than a German lager. Mild lacing present.
Smell is pretty subdued, at least in the Stange. Getting some maltiness and a bit of hops. Taste is where it starts to shine, there is a clear difference between a true Kolsch and an American brewed "Kolsch style ale." They start similar with delicious light malt and breadiness, then a flash of bitter hops, and it ends with the signature white wine character (which I have never actually tasted in an American version). That grape flavor is wonderful, I wish it was present in more beers. Moutheel is also pretty stellar, light, bubbly, and quite dry. American Kolsch ales feel like they have a higher final gravity most of the time, or are given honey to help sweeten them, I prefer how the Germans do it.

I could drink this all day in a stange. While the stange might detract a bit from flavor, it is so good for enhancing the feel and drinkability of this beer.

Standard disclaimer: I rate the way I do on Untappd.

This is the first kölsch I have had from German brewery. In comparison to American versions, it's got a much more grainy, cracker like mouthfeel. It has less fruit notes than an American kölsch, and there's more assertive bitterness than an American version. I think I prefer this over American ones, if I am given a choice.

Handsome clear bright yellow with bubbles streaming in the Zunft Kölsch glass. More resiny than perfumey, in the aroma. Mouthfeel is more substantial thank I think is typical, with quite a robust malty taste and body. Some hints of caramel and even pineapple. The hops are quite evident without adding too much bitterness. Highly quaffable with big flavor and mouth-filling body. My 500 ml can also appears from the Julian date to be a year old, but

500ml can into a tall glass. Appears to have been canned in March of 2022, so over a year old. Ugh.

Looks decent though. Slightly hazy pale golden yellow body with a bright white head, replenished by streams of carbonation. Brady, doughty, malty aroma. Taste is sweet and malty and a little grassy. I think it has lost its crispness, but all in all, still a decent refreshing drink.
