Served on tap in a standard shaker on 3/17 at the Saucer. Pours a deep dark brown to black the color of burnt and charred wood with a soft brown sugar head filled with big bubbles. Good lacing throughout. The smell is mostly roasted chocolate malt and some burnt sugar smell. Lots of oatmeal aroma. The taste is all the smoothness and sweet of a oatmeal and it kind of overpowers the bear completely. The malt is sort of an afterthought. Very limp body overall. There are many better oatmeal stouts out there.

Black, opaque color with a dark thick head. Moderate to heavy mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Oatmeal provides silky mouth feel. More sweet than acidic. Moderate roastiness.

Great stout, great beer for any time of the year, but I especially enjoy it from fall/winter

12oz bottle, best by date of 8/1/15, 6.0% ABV. Pours mostly opaque black with a large-sized brown head. Smells of oats and roasted malt. Taste follows very closely with a strong oat profile and ending with some moderate malt bitterness. Pleasing mouthfeel and very drinkable. Overall, it's a little straightforward but really shows off a solid oatmeal stout.
