Pours a chill-hazed orange/caramel with one finger of khaki colored head. Never totally clears up, great head retention & even better lacing

S: Rich breadyness, toastyness, both kind of tamp down once warm

T: Cakeyness, toastyness, herbal & piney hoppyness up front. Herbal & piney bitterness lead the way as this warms, caramel & toastyess with dryness as well. Finishes malty, piney, toasty with herbal hoppyness & pinkgrapefruit

MF: Chewy with subtle carbonation, good balance

I remember the draft version being hoppier, more boozey, less toasty; a different beer altogether, both good. ABV is well hidden, beware; this one will get you! Core needs to get this beer into 4 or 6 pack format, easily the best beer I've had from them. Will buy again regardless. This is a classic red ale on steroids...

22 oz bottle, no freshness date. Served in tulip glass. Pours out to a generous beige head and reddish amber color. Nice garter belt of lacing at the top of the glass, with bits all the way down. Aroma is of course loaded with citrusy, piney hops and caramel (reddish) malt. Flavor is a burst of hops, a malty middle and strong alpha acid rush in the finish. 9.5% abv hides well. Mouthfeel is light and CO2 is appropriate. A good beer that I can imagine is even better fresh on tap.
