(best by NOV 24 14 - poured into a balloon... fan-cy!)

A: crystal-clear, dying dandelion yellow liquid... spongy white foam that, for some reason, takes its time breaking down... maintains a thin collar the whole time, ring of lace at the top of the glass

S: lightly-toasted, lightly-buttery dense cookie/wafer... faintly sulfury/metallic note - typical macro lager (yeast) aroma... light lager malt note... super clean and mellow aromas overall, really not much fusel/boozy notes, if any

T: old corn pops w/o the honey sweetness, touch of pencil eraser, slightly popcorn (partially popped kernel) finish... very dry... not really boozy at all, wonderfully hidden... light metallic, old white bread crust aftertaste... mild bitterness throughout, however, not a ton of sweetness to offset in the first place... alcohol spiciness comes out late - has a moonshine-y overtone, but a stronger sugar biscuit undercurrent

M: medium-light body, soft, delicate (imaginary?) viscosity... finishes out level and dry... just enough carbonation tickling the taste buds, but hardly sizzly

O: I'm cracking up as I write this, but this, behind Old E, has gotta be my 2nd favorite malt liquor... dude, it's really not that bad if you pour it into a fat-bottomed glass - it's the can or the bottle that makes it nasty, no?... the high alcohol content lends some 'complexity' to the flavor, but the balance here is sick

Poured from a 22 ounce "Double Deuce" into a tulip style glass.

A - Pours out a golden color with a hint of orange with a one finger of foamy white head. The head retreats to a thick lace but is quite long lasting.

S - Corn and cooked grains dominate.

T - Definite corn with some sweetness with an alcohol finish.

M - Rather light for an 8.2% ABV malt. This coupled with the fairly high carbonation level gives it the type of mouth feel you expect in this class of beers.

O - The 22 has the same alcohol as three regular beers and gets the job done. Frankly there are times I'd rather have a DD of this than 3 crummy AAL's. A 40 of this stuff is a ticket to a quick night. Still, for what it is it isn't "bad" but don't get me wrong; it's still a long way from "good" too. This stuff is only for the experienced and the adventurous.
