From notes taken 04/19/17:

Moderately hazy golden amber, with fine, creamy, fluffy whitish head of decent retention with wonderful strands and ringlets of delicate, wispy lace. Bread, honey, lemon aromas, little else, strong at first and then all but gone. Not too far off from this to the taste, but sweeter flavors are very subdued, with biscuit to the fore and endless stream of floral suggestions from about a second in, well past the finish. Crisp. Refreshing. Medium-bodied, with creamy but tingly carbonation, fun to gulp down. Solid Lager from Wasatch. Less than ten minutes to review this beer, might be a record.

Last One In pours a bright golden color with a long lasting and lacing head. The aroma is kinda sour and off. The taste is creamy and crisp, with a nice buttery sweetness. Good body and feel. Overall its a very tasty pils, creamy and sweet.

Pours a clear, gold color. One inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong pale malt, slight sweet malt, slight yeast, and slight hop. Fits the style of a Czech Pilsner. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong pale malt, slight sweet malt, slight yeast, and slight hop. Overall, good appearance, blend, and very session-able.

Sampling right now on 8/24/15. Comes in a 12 ounce bottle with a great label. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a handled-glass "CHEERS-BOSTON".

Brew pours a straw-yellow in color with a 1-finger foamy white head that finally settles down to a thin layering. LOTS of sheet-like lacing sticks to the sides of the glass when sipped. Aroma is of yeast, hay with maybe a hint of some citrus zest (?). Pretty much is said for the taste as well. VERY smooth and goes down easy. No harsh or aftertaste is really noted. Medium-bodied with perfect carbonation. Overall a really tasty brew for the summer season.

A really nice, easy-drinking, low-nonsense summer offering that really makes one think "lager" more than "Czech Pilsener" (where BA's taxonomy places it). But while it is a light, lazy-day beer—conceptualized, they say, for house-boat afternoons on Lake Powell—I really like that little in the way of complexity has been sacrificed at that altar of easy refreshment. Indeed, at the heart of this white-gold- and burnished-corn-colored creation is an intricate interplay of stone fruit (think, primarily, white apricot), yeasty funk-bite, and dry-grassy grain textures, all of which dissolve away into a pool mild, *slightly* sticky residual malt sweetness that is eddied by surprisingly strong currents of bitter-herb hop-bounce (think dried tarragon, fresh turmeric, and a bit of spruce-tip). Good (but not great) effervescence—suggested by a solid, ring-lacing head—aids in the crispness; but while this *is* a refreshing, lighter-swaying beer, it has its share of heft, possessing a delicate balance between body and levity. The nose—all lemon-zest and damp hay—helpfully forecasts the flavors of this lager.

I've tried precious little of Wasatch's output, but this is a very promising early sample.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into nonic pint glass.
A - Pours light gold color, clear, thick bright white head that lingers awhile with nice creamy lacing.

S - aromas of pleasant yeast, hay, mild citrus more lemon than orange or grapefruit, some raisin notes

T - balanced yeast and european hop, mild citrus finish, somewhat sour, but not unpleasant.

M - medium bodied, soft mouthfeel; the lingering head makes it a creamy experience

O - As the beer warms some in the glass, the flavors are more enhanced and the earthy notes of hay are more prominent. This is a nice break from the big and in your face hopped up American summer beers (which I do enjoy). Wasatch is putting out some great seasonals.

A : So who says that lagers have to be clear? No one! This one is a hazy mellow gold with about 10% transparency. The head is sticky and stays firm at 1 finger. It adheres to the sides of the glass like some gelatinous blob. For a LAGER to look this good, I'm giving it a 4.25.

S : Typical clean adjunct lager smells - barley and cereal grains, a faint squirt of citrus, and a little straw for good measure. Nothing off-key here, and basically par for the course and on-point. For those I give a 4 point score.

T : Lots of juicy and fresh fruit out front, with a malty breadiness and an orange twist. It signs off with a trademark Czech straw grassiness but refrains from the harshness that some Czech Pilsners have. Overall the taste profile leaves you feeling satisfied and wanting more.

F : Creamy, especially for a lager. Medium bodied and melts like whipped cream from a can in your mouth. A soft buzzing can be felt underneath and it ends with a semi-dry bite.

O : This and the Devastator are my two favorite Wasatch beers now. This was a really nice surprise. Solid, solid, solid.
