Pours a nice brown color, nice carbonation, with a nice one-finger creamy off-white head, leaves some nice sticky lacing. The nose is malty, with some nuttyness. The taste is malty, and nutty. Medium body. Overall a pretty tasty brew.

Spicy nose with fruit and peat smoke. Pours brilliant chestnut under a 1” lightly tan tinted foam cap that dissipates to a thick film. Big malt flavors sweetened by caramel finishing with spicy malt flavors, a touch of butterscotch, light toast and a balancing hop bitterness.

Pours an effervescent brown/hazel with 2 fingers of sandy colored head. Great lacing & good head retention

S: Cakey, peaty, not much else

T: Follows the nose, dryness a well, just a kiss of leafy hops as well up front. Cakeyness & peatyness as this warms, some toastyness & toffee as this warms. Finishes cakey with a little bit of peat & leafy hops layered in dryness

MF: Medium bodied, moderate carbonation

Drinks pretty easy, this one of the better takes on the style, most times these seem to remind me of a water down wee heavy, not the case here. More one line with some 80 shilling ales I had in Scotland

Squatters Wee Peat Scottish Ale has a very thick, cream colored head, a clear, somewhat bubbly, rust-brown appearance, and a good amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, mossy, bread crust, and hops in that British cellar mold style. Taste is of smoke, peat, medium-roasted and sweet barley malt, bread crust, and mild and mellow hop bitterness, with some acidity thrown in. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Squatters Wee Peat Scottish Ale finishes semi-dry, smoky, and highly drinkable.

Clear DARK amber colored beer with a small tan colored head. This is dark enough I could see how you could call it brown.

Malty smoky ale with a bit of medicinal funk and lots of caramel. Floral aroma smells a little like sage and heather.

Starts out malty and smoky with a big roasted grain flavor and an unexpected zap of banana flavor. Smoky bananas, that is what this tastes like. Some chocolate and a lesser flavor of coffee. Fair caramel malt backbone to the beer. Solid smoky flavor without getting in Rauchbier levels of smoke.

Mouthfeel is thick.

Overall not the best Scottish Ale ever but a very respectable one. I will not be turning one of these down at a BBQ.
