Presentation: 12oz brown twist-off bottle. The year "2002" has been crossed out. Um? Oh, I get it.

Appearance: Deep amber with red hues. Initially the head is rather foamy, creamy then it settles with a sticky white cream lace -- good retention.

Smell: Some fruity aromas, along with a light floral hop bouquet.

Taste: Smooth & creamy mouth-feel. Light-bodied. Nice mild malt sweetness that rounds and leans towards a light sugary/dextrin flavour with light fruity and estery undertones. Its fizzy carbonation level and a quick citrusy hop bite rise up together to form a bit of the old "crisp and refreshing" on the palate. Biscuit and some toasted flavours follow with powdery grain flavours that carry through into the dry-ish aftertaste.

Notes: A very pleasant Amber Ale. Extremely easy to drink and nicely balanced. However, I still feel bad for beer drinkers in Utah.

Pours a deep amber color, modest head, minimal lace, both beige in color. Sweet malt nose, light touch of caramel, crisp and clean. Start is malt, the top reedy, reasonable carbonation, scantilly hopped, dry aftertaste. The lack of body hurts the beer, as with all the beer from yhis decent brewery, and more the shame.

Pours a clear amber color, nice carbonation, small creamy tan head, nice lacing afterwards. Scents of sweet malts, hops, and slight caramel. The taste is kinda sweet malty, slight hop with a caramel bit finish. Medium body, well rounded. Very drinkable, a nice little brew from the Wasatch Brewery. Makes an nice session brew.

Medium amber color, large head. A medium bodied amber ale. Malty and slightly sweet. Not very hoppy. Good flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is malty and slightly bitter. "The unofficial beer of that 2002 event in Utah."

This amber presents first with a nice orange color and light head. A malty bread aroma is subtle and mellow. The use of sweet bready malt is evident, but the other flavors are a bit watered down. There is a light hop impression in the finish.

Grabbed a pint of this while waiting for my new friend Alex to join me at the White Owl in Logan, Utah. The beer poured a nice amber brown color with a slight ring of head. The nose was really sweet and full of fruity esters, almost with a strawberry character to it. The flavor was not as bad as I was told it would be. The fruity tones were prevalent, but not overpowering. The flavor was strawberry with almost a black peppery finish to it. Nice and complex and not a bad beer at all. The feel was very thin, not much carbonation and not much else there. The drinkability was also okay. The beer was smooth and overall a nice offering. I would have had a few more if I didn't want to try all the other beers to be found in Utah.

12 oz. bottle: Boy, did this suck. Why is this called 2002? Perhaps they should have stopped making it back then. I t pours a clear amber color. there was no head whatsoever. The aroma is slightly floral, malty sweet and skunky. The taste is quite similar. I wish I wasn’t stuck in Utah and had to drink this!

One of the better, commonly-seen Utah micro tap handles. Pours a decent bronze amber with a finger of tight, off-white, creamy head. Nose is mostly bready, caramelly crystal malt and cascade hops, but on the modest side compared to say, a Rogue American amber. Taste follows the nose, with toasted caramel malts giving way to some fruity esters, folowed by ample, yet restrained hop notes of resin, light citrus, and just plain bitterness. The body is a little thin for the style, but goes down very easily and makes for a nice session beer. Just think bitterish mild, rather than American Amber Ale and you'll be happier!
