Gotta say, Utah is beautiful. This beer certainly takes that trait along with it. A gorgeous deep hazy amber with a good finger white head. Good retention and lacing.

Smell gives similar promise: juicy, resiny, with sweet floral notes and some citric spice. There's a supporting malt layer underneath, but the hops really take top billing.

With the buildup that the preceding two categories offered, drinking it is a little bit of a letdown. The supporting body that seemed to be folded gently in is completely absent, and it becomes a dulled reflection of what it seemed it was going to be. Less of the juicy hops with a supportive malt presence, it instead presents with a muted tea-like non-beginning, followed by a void in the middle before wrapping it up with a bitter bready finish. Moreso just bitter as opposed to hoppy, lacking a certain amount of complexity.

With the promise shown while it was just a glass of potential, the reality was a bit of a let down. There are elements here, but it feels like there is something missing. It gives the impression of coming into a film twenty minutes late, and finding half of the middle scenes are missing on top of it. Utah's beautiful, though!

Pretty good looking, orange-tan and mostly clear with a pretty good head and lace.

Flavor and aroma are pretty hop forward, yet with a good solid malt backbone that offers a pretty balanced brew. Bready malts and citrus, herbaceous hops are the dominant flavors.

Body is medium and carbonation smooth. Overall very nice for a 4% brew, I like these tasty lower ABV beers.

Squatters Full Suspension Pale Ale has a very thick, spongy, cream-colored head, a hazy, quite bubbly, gold-orange appearance, and heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is of of hop resin (pineapple or sweet grapefruit), white bread, and a touch of corn. Taste is of the same, with more prominent corn notes and a low-to-moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Squatters Full Suspension Pale Ale finishes semi-dry and easy drinking. This beer is on the dull side, but it is still good. At least worth one sampling.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint.

A: Golden hue. Pours a 2 finger, bubbly, white head. Settles quickly. Slight dry lacing.

S: Floral hops, pine straw, and a little peanut.

T: Biting hops, and a pea-nutty character.

M: Light and crisp. The hop seems out of balance and separated from the malted components.

D: Session.

Atmosphere is okay. Fair head, and some slight lacing. Nose is floral and buttery. Out of balance combination of hops and nutty components. Overall, this is a pretty good quaff.

12 oz can was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a slightly hazy pale orange color with some visibility of bubbles coming up through the glass. Super tight lacing all the way down to the last sip.

Smell: Pale, bready, and toasted malts with some grassy, herbal, and citrus hops. Pretty straightforward and nothing over the top. More English than American pale ale aroma.

Taste: Herbal Earl Grey and citrus hop delicious with some mild tingly hop bitterness. Chewy and pale malts in there too.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied, chewy, light hop bitterness, crisp, refreshing, and medium carbonation.

Overall: For a 4% beer, this is prettybsolid. Out of a can too. You can't go wrong.
