750 ml, waxed-cap bottle into Bruery tulip. Another thanks to Wasatch for another great Utah beer.

Pours cloudy golden-copper, with a big, creamy 3 finger-head on top. Nice retention, as the head eventually settles down into a half-inch thick creamy head. Loads of lacing gone wild.

Nose has a surprisingly big dose of higher alcohols, white pepper, candy sugar, just a bit of pear mixed in with the spiciness, maybe a bit of banana but nothing close to what you'd find in a hefe - dry, spicy, and with a pale sweetness.

Taste rachets the nose up a notch. The initial peppery yeast note holds up malt body that is at once bready, hinting at pears and even tropical fruit, and with a nice depth that goes beyond a simple pils malt bill. Maybe a bit of vienna? Finish is long, lush, with the yeast riding out on point with a nice mix of peppery spiciness, floral notes, just a bit of tangy yeast.

Mouthfeel is creamy, medium bodied that headed into full, dry, carbonation that moves from smooth and creamy to spritzy.

Drinkability is good, very good actually, surprisingly so. Delicious beer, with a big dose of higher alcohols.

Clear golden colored beer with an epic tall white colored head.

Clear light scent of honeysuckle malt and powdery yeast. Light coriander scent. Has all the proper smells but it is a little lite on scent.

Starts out mildly sweet with a lite hop bite. Mild coriander taste. Powdery yeast flavor not unlike a sweet roll. Tasty yet it seems a bit light.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a tasty beer that in no way hints at it's strength. Only thing is the beer seems a little light for the style. Perhaps my taste buds are warped from all the extreme beers I have drank?

This is an excellent beer for a breakfast or fresh fruit dish. In particular this would go perfect on a hot summer day with cold melon.

Poured beer into a tulip glass at 41 degrees.

Appearance: A monster three finger head that is billowy, foamy, and creamy. The head, sadly does not have good retention. The head, however did have a lot of lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is a pale yellow with tons of yeast obscuring clarity. The beer has a good amount of carbonation bubbles.

Nose: The malt is slight toasted giving off a mild aroma. The beer presents with more of a fruity hoppy aromas, oranges, lemons, perfumes, and ester. I don't smell any strong aromas, the beer is just mild.

Taste: The taste is primarily perfume, lemons, pine, floral, oranges, esters, and hint of pepper. The malt is flimsy and the flavors do not carry over.

Mouth feel of the beer is carbonated, slightly astringent, and slightly warming.

Overall: This beer has potential to be so much more. For a Belgian strong anything, I would expect a punch of flavor exploding on the palate, instead they just meandered aimless. The beer was mild, I did get a pepper note on the tail end of the taste. This beer is just okay.

Appearance: hazy yellowish orange in color with a 1/2" head. Some spots of lace dot the glass during the session.

Smell: Belgian yeast and some pepper are mild but detectable.

Taste: nice bready malt profile with yeast, pepper, some mild citrus tones, moderate bitterness, and a bit of alcohol create a well balanced flavor but on the mild side.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Light crispness throughout with a bit of dryness arriving late.

Overall: not a bad Belgian ale but overall it is a bit mild. I found this to be easy to drink too.

Bottle bought and shared by T. Thanks
Cloudy golden with loud pop but smallish head for style.
Mix of soft yeast character and pale malt with a bready/doughy character.
Malt flavor matched the aroma. Again with modest yeast characteristics. A couple shots of hop flavor with bittering to cut sweetness. Long reasonable dry finish.
A little bigger than moderate feel and some fullness from carbonation.
A solid drinking ale. Worth a taste and can assist in meeting a belgian fix.
