Overall - 4.25 - great IIPA served a little too cold, wanted to taste it warmer, but I was on a time crunch at the airport in salt lake city

On tap. Pours a dark amber color with a foamy beige head. Mild aroma of hops. Taste and texture is very smooth. There is a perfect blend of hops and malts. Leaves a slightly bitter finish. Delicious on-tap as it isn't too simple or complex. Very tasty without being too bitter.

12 oz bottle was poured into a tulip glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. Nice lacing from the reduced head too. It is a hazy copper color with some vision of a few bubbles coming up through the glass. More lacing all the way down to the bottom of the glass.
Smell: citrus and tropical hop aromas, caramel, and alcohol.
Taste: Tangerine, grapefruit, and pineapple is short lived and followed by caramel, bitterness, and alcohol that is easier and easier to taste with every sip. Hop flavor dies too quickly, but then the next sip it is there. Strange.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, alcohol, low to medium carbonation, a little chewy, lingering bitterness, and light to medium bodied.
Overall: Not too shabby, this beer seemed to get better as it warmed up. Still an enjoyable beer.

Poured into a Dogfish Spiegelau glass. Bottleneck says Born On: 06/04/13
A- Pours a medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains a bit before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of surface foam. Non-resilient lacing slides quickly down the glass.
S- Initially fruity hop aroma quickly turns sweet and boozy. The citrus notes that are there include tangerine, peach and pineapple but, like I said, are short-lived once the alcohol and sugary malt jump in. Slightly fumey.
T- Flavor also exhibits more of a sweet malt backbone rather than letting the hops shine. Yeah, the bitterness is there, but there's not much character to it. Alcohol is decently hidden but there's not much else going for it.
M- Sharp and dry with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the fuller side.
O- Not a bad DIPA but I probably won't be revisiting.
