Legend has it Ghostrider roams Utah's Wasatch Range seeking revenge: “someone” stole his White IPA recipe. Smooth and crisp, it's made from pale barley and citrusy hops. It's too good to hide!

Ghostrider is an unfiltered White IPA brewed with coriander.

Appearance: Poured a cloudy, dull yellow with an airy, tall head which dissipated rather quickly.

Smell: Citrus hops along with a very sweet, fruity aroma - peach, apricot, ect.

Taste: The beginning rises into the citrus hops; the middle carries the most of the bitterness from the hops, but there wasn't enough of this; the end finished with the peachy sweet flavoring.

Mouthfeel: Carbonation was strong upfront, but carried through well; smooth enough.

Overall: This one was decent, I was expecting a slight bit more bitterness versus fruitiness.

It shouldn't take more than a twelve ounce can to get a good idea about this one. It starts with a pour that empties the can's contents into a clear pint glass. There's some stark white foam produced, but nothing to excess. Then, there's no glass lacing. The liquid is light honey-amber and it's cloudy. There is a coriander presence to the aroma and maybe something wheat-like. It has a little malty sweetness and a little piney hoppiness that accompanies the coriander inclusion. Thankfully, that coriander inclusion is tastefully made. Behind those two frontline characters, is a little lemonade reference. All of this would be considered mild, rather that bold experiences. It may not have a notable body, especially for an IPA, but it drinks lightly and refreshingly. But, if it's an IPA, the body does come up too light for the category. Overall, this is a non-offensive and probably unmemorable IPA. Absolutely drinkable, with slight nuances within the taste. Credit for that; but, everything is so mildly presented this will most likely be soon forgotten. There's no Belgian yeasty taste to contend with. Maybe that's its best attribute, to provide a Belgian style IPA, without going extreme with the tastes of brettanomyces and/or lactobacillus which can overpower the malt and hops.

Can from Boise Co-op. Pale golden, light haze, thick fluffy head. Aroma is woody, grassy, pine needles. Taste is about the same, light and grassy, with a bit of savory snap to it. Pretty mellow.

Scrappy notes from 2015.
6 pack of 12 oz bottles purchased in Brainerd, MN.
Pours a pale off gold color with a thin rocky white head and has a fair amount of fine sediment. Lovely smell of coriander and hops. Great tasting with flavors of lemon, coriander and pine. It is clean feeling/drinking, not too bitter but is zesty and is kind of dry on the palate. I would buy this beer again as it is very good.

12 oz can in Tulip glass.

Pale gold. Decent white lacing. Nose and taste of lemon and coriander with a piney finish. Light bodied, moderately carbonated, crisp and tasty.

Poured from a can into a tulip.

Pours a slightly hazed pale gold with a nice foamy head and good lacing.

The aroma is a nice meld of gentle floral and earthy hop aromas and tart and spicy yeast.

The brew is initially pale-malt sweet with mild citrus zest on the tip of the tongue. Herbal and yeast notes arrive in mid-stream, with coriander arriving and citrus increasing. The brew closes with a touch of booze and a citrus-tart flavor. The flavors are solid, although muted.

The brew has a nice soft feel. Medium bodied, I suppose, but well-carbonated, and the tartness, hops, and booze keep it lively.

This is a tasty brew that would be excellent if it had a bit more flavor, and looked a little prettier.

Appearance: Pours a pale, clear champagne lemon color with a fizzy white head. SRM of 4.0 (3.75)

Aroma: Aromas of tropical citrus, flower, herbs, and light pine. Smells very herbal, flowery, and juicy (3.75)

Flavor: Initial flavors of herbs, pine, and coriander. Then comes a sweet tropical tangerine sweetness on the end. Not very bitter. Finishes clean and dry. (4.00)

Feel: Lighter bodied, crisp. Well-carbonated. It allows it finish clean, crisp, and dry. Given the low bitterness it really leaves nothing on the palate. Alcohol is slightly apparent given the lighter body. (3.75)

Overall: A lighter, flowery, and juicy IPA. Flower like the English, yet has American citrus, and a lighter body like a Saison. It's a hybrid beer and it's extremely tasteful and complex. I could enjoy it in the summer like a Saison, or I could drink this during the holidays with it's piney notes. It's the Suicide Soda of beers. (Final Rating: 3.95)
