Great Mexican restaurant upstairs from the bar, but it is the bar that is so exciting, a huge selection of American and European bottled beers plus a rolling selection of local ales. a vibrant atmosphere, more Continental cafe bar style than traditional British pub. Always a great night out with lots of live music, dancing and arts events.

I have not seen such a dazzling array of imported beers, wines and spirits in many bars in the UK, and never expected to find this in a small local town.. Voodoo Cafe is a very eclectic bar with a Mexican/Latin American Cantina feel.. The music is truly Latin flavoured, and the imported beer, spirit and wine choice is phenomenal.. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable, and their own speciality cocktails amazing.. I counted over 50 imported bottled beers alone, including some of my favorites, St Stefanus, Paulaner, and a truly great Sierra Nevada Harvest.. The Rum, Tequila and Mescal collection on offer is so Broad that I couldn't count them all, and the Malt whisky's must have numbered 30 plus.. I was also shocked and pleasantly surprised to see an all time Favorite Venezuelan Rum "Diplomatico" on offer, and all the draft beers were real ales which I believe are changed on a weekly basis..

Although I didn't eat in the restaurant I was assured by the regulars that it had won an award as best Mexican Restaurant outside London in a Latin Life award (Some achievement) and will definitely be back to try the food which is all a Twist on Mexican classics.. If it's great beer, great atmosphere and staff with a genuine love for their service, then this is the place for you.. It definitely is for me!
