An English-style strong ale. This brown ale has great malt depth and drinks like a session beer.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass.

Pours a dark amber like real maple syrup. Small, visible carbonation bubbles offer thin film of off-white froth. Nice lacing.

Smells like sweet butter bread, mead, malty.

No real surprises in taste, but that's a good thing. There is a little bit of bitterness, but the sweetness of the malt is the main component on the palate.

There is a lot of beer in this glass. Medium heavy body is a little more chewy than expected. Really smooth with a subtle prickle. Nice warming component.

This strong ale could wear the "winter warmer" label in my opinion. Hearty, malty, and high ABV will make this even better later in the year. Recommend

Enjoyed directly from the bottle on a warm summer evening in Vermont.
Smells rich and malty.
Tastes really nice for a brown ale. Solid maltiness with decent hop bitterness on my tongue as it goes down.
Mouthfeel is fine. Not too thin or thick.
Overall, this is a well crafted and tasty beer.
