Pours a very dark garnet-y color, kind of a burnt-amber. Head was fine. Smell is of malt. Taste is of malt, with just a touch of hops. Mouthfeel was fine. I can't quite understand how this can be called an ipa. It's a dark-colored malty ale, with very little hop character. It's not "bad" per se, it's just not what you're looking for if you ask for an ipa.

12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a puffy layer. It is a hazy pale orange color with good clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Citrus, floral, herbal tea, grassy, pungent, toasted, and pale malts.
Taste: Nice citrus and tea hop flavor, tingly bitterness, pale, and bready malts.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, refreshing, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, and a little bitterness.
Overall: A nice take on an EIPA with an American twist. I'll definitely revisit this one again.
