I am incredibly impressed with this newish restaurant/pub in downtown Champaign. As you walk in, there is half rectangle all wood bar with brass fixtures. Some low top tables, and high tops toward the perimeter. Large windows facing Neil St that makes the place feel open. Really a small place, but one with a lot of charm.

The service is very prompted, friendly, and knowledgeable on the food. Not a ton of knowledge on the beer, but not a problem. They made recommendations on the menu that were great. The food is excellent Irish staples. The kind of food that you wish all crappy pseudo Irish or British places would have. Bad ass Mussels that are out of this world, and Irish RLT (Rashers, Lettuce, and Tomato). The Irish rashers are awesome. Smoky, meaty, and tender. Charred romaine, and grilled tomato, hell ya. The sweet potato chips are the real deal as well. Mac & cheese, and the chowder are out of this world too. Other stuff I need to try: Rueben, Fishermen's Stew, Shepard Pie, and just about anything else.

On to the beer. 15 plus taps. Some are the obligatory Guinness, Harp, etc. Though plenty of other stuff that rotates. Two Brothers, New Holland Brewing, and Smuttynose on tap when I visited. I know they get some Founder's as well. Quality seemed fresh. I love that you can get everything in a 7 or 10 oz pour. Non big alcohol beers are available in 20oz pints. Good deals for those.

A wonderful experience. Traditional Irish food at its best in the States. Good craft beer, good service, and great atmosphere. Whats not to like?

Dublins is a small new bar in downtown Champaign. A very classy modern take on an irish pub. The beer selection is orgasmic, aprox 90 choices of bottled beer, ten on draft, old rasputin is on tap! Need I say more. The food? My mouth is watering just thinking of their irish nachos. All of their ingredients are from local farmers and growers, the chefs turn out amazing classic irish dishes that will surely leave you with a toe curling experience. The barkeeps are very friendly, come for a drink come for a meal, bring the whole family if you'd like. Everybody is a friend at Dublin O'Neils!
