A: Pours black and viscous. Forms a moderate sized deep tan colored head about 5-10 seconds after the pour. Good retention. Light lacing.
S: Aroma is mostly heavily roasted malts mixed with a good deal of hops. mostly citrus rind and pine. A touch of char.
T: Mostly heavily roasted malts. There is a good deal of happiness to the beer, but it comes off with an almost metallic twang. Actually, it's more of that taste you get when you touch your tongue to a 9-volt battery. Roasted malts, char, black coffee, cocoa. Then some citrus rind and a little pine. FInish is more char. Dry and chalky on the back end.
M: On the lighter side for an Imperial Stout. Still full bodied, but not nearly as thick as I was expecting given the viscous appearance. Medium carbonation. Moderate bitterness.
O: Not sure what they were going for with this beer, but, then again, SO is one of the breweries where I never have a clue about brewers intentions. Never-the-less, in the end we have a rather hoppy stout and hoppy stouts can be hit or miss and this one was more miss than hit.

The first couple full reviews pretty much nailed it on the head. This is much more of a black IPA than a stout.
Practically pitch black with some light passing around the edges. Extremely active head nearing an inch. Spotty lacing.
It's hopped to the gills. Pine and leafy. Light chocolate, super heavy roast.
Medium mouthfeel, heavy carbonation. Extra bitter.
Overall, I liked it quite a bit though I was expecting something more heavy and sweet given the name. I should have known the beer has nothing to do with marshmallows.
