On-tap at Farmhouse.

Pours a clear golden yellow-orange with off-white head. Nice lacing.

Bitter aroma of floral hops with some light citrus, orange and tropical fruit.

Upfront taste is bitter floral and citrus hops with some distinct orange or tropical fruit. Toasted and sweet malt. Bitter hoppy finish--floral, citrus, tropical fruit, resin. Lingering citrus bitterness. Some fruity esters come out at the finish as it warms along with a more floral lingering flavor.

Light to medium body with moderate to high carbonation. Clean, kind of bubbly finish.

Much more American in style than I expected. Huge hop presence with moderate bitterness. Floral components are a little more like Belgian IPAs I've had, but that's the only comparison I could draw. Easy to drink and really good--I was impressed.

The Oubliette is a solid Begium style pale ale that poured a golden clear with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent carried citrus and that belgian wiff. The taste was a light crisp pale ale with spicey orange peel. The mouthfeel was light in body with good carbonation. Overall, a decent beer. (303 characters)
