Had on tap at Wild Monk in Lagrange. Served in a shaker pint.

A: Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a creamy white head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin cap and ring that leaves nice sheets of lace down the glass.

S: Coriander and belgian yeast notes up front. Fruity esters and some sweet citrus notes are present as well and some raw wheat rounds it out.

T: More fruity esters from the yeast are up front with a mild citrus peel, some cracked wheat and pale malt sweetness sits in the periphery.

M: Light bodied with nice carbonation. The finish is smooth and sweet and the drinkability is great.

O: Highly drinkable and delicious. The flavors wont beat you over the head, but they're there in appropriate amounts. I really enjoyed this beer and will definitely revisit in the future.

Served in a nonic pint glass at the Whole Foods in Schaumburg.

Straight outta Naperthrill, eh? Let's dance. This stuff pours a hazy pale lemonade topped by a half-finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mild coriander, light black pepper, even lighter clove, a touch of banana peel, cracked wheat, and a twist of lemon. Everything is decidedly meek, inoffensive: I really had to strain to pick anything out. The taste brings in more of the same, brighter now, as if this were actually present. The lemon comes through a bit more, relative to the other factors, and takes on a bit of a rind-y tone. Some mild powdered sugar flashes in near the finish. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda dry finish. Overall, a nice little wit, but nothing much more than that, unfortunately.

On tap at the Geneva Ale House - Geneva, IL

Pours pale yellow in color, cloudy, with a frothy white head that quickly dissipates to a thin layer of foam atop the ale. Not much for lace. Aromas are loads of wheat, some spice, and Belgian yeast. Tastes are wheaty, yeasty, biscuity, spicy, fresh coriander, orange, lemon, nutty - very complex and pleasant! Mouth-feel is medium bodied, smooth and creamy, yet light and refreshing at the same time. Finishes with a peppery tingle. Overall, nice complex refreshing Witbier. I'd definitely have this one again.
