From a big can at Pour Phil's in Oak Park. A good, piney American IPA with a couple of twists. 1) higher carbonation than usual. 2) a light, sweet honey flavor. I wish I could get it back home.

Pint in a nonic glass at the brewery.
Pours clear light golden color with about 1.5cm of head that settles into a fluffy, coarse, uneven cap. Smell is mild, floral, a little pine resin.
Taste is an interesting blend of sweetness (somewhere in the vicinity of honey or honeysuckle) and pine resin. Finish is quite bitter.
Mouthfeel is light, but leaves a little bit of a coating on the palate. Overall, it's pretty good.

The bitter piney taste appeals to me.

Juicy nose, a little malty upfront with huge piney hops in the middle through the finish. Delicious.

Clear and hazy, from a twelve ounce can. Moderate white head. The aroma is musty....A bit of herbal hops and some underneath fruit. Balanced taste. Full in body and drinkable, but not outstanding.

Appearance: Pours a slightly clouded, yellow-orange. A tall, lacy, white head that lingers
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange citrus and pine.
Flavor: Good flavors of orange and grapefruit citrus. Mostly orange though. A nice pine flavor follows that. Some pale malt or mango sweetness on the backend. Bitterness is attenuated and finishes slightly sweet.
Feel: Mouthfeel is crisp and cleansing. Highly carbonated so it actually dries the palate nicely in the absence of bitterness.
Overall: This is a pretty good midwest IPA. Bitterness is weak, but the carbonation finishes it off. It showcases the orange citrus well without the confounding tropical flavors. Didn't have high expectations, but this one is actually worth coming back to.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a shaker pint.
Pours a murky honey with moderate haze. Head looks nice and recedes to a wispy sticky ring.
Aroma is of tropical fruit and yeasty bread. Pineapple rind and dusty lemon grass.
Flavor opens with pineapple juicy hops. Sweet flavors of pear and apple pith. Middle brings light malt that recedes to a dank bitterness. Hop presence is a well attenuated drying flavor and not overly bitter. Nice dry, clean finish with a hint of fusel alcohol.
Mouthfeel is pleasant and well carbonated.
Tasty, refreshing AIPA. I would but it again.
