Apricot pour that is slightly cloudy. White head eases back with low retention.

Aroma of bubblegum, spice drop candy, coriander, yeasty and lemon. Beautiful sweetness to it in a fruit medley of sorts. Almost like a Hi-C punch.

Taste starts out a traditional Belgium witbier. Bready, clove, peppery zest and Belgium spice candy. White grapefruit peel emerges with some dankness. It's got a hoppy ending with a splendid balance of malt. Also added faint pine. As this warms up more complexity of fruit juices comes forth.

Light to medium body with residual sugars. Sprite enough carbonation but not enough to scrub the tongue. Find the layering of sweetness quite welcome and delicious.

IMO, starts out a witbier turns into an IPA and soon after the richness and depth of an IIPA if you let it sit-amazing. Fruity and refreshing. If your life was mundane or stuck in lupulin overload this will get your taste buds back online. Deliciousity delivered. Haven't been this pleasantly surprised since Le Terroir. This blows FFF's Live a Rich Life out of the water. Did I mention I just love this freakin stuff. Class act and might I add tremendously tremendous!

A really nice looking beer. Bright and hazy gold with a clean, soft white head.

Banana, clove, and pineapple aromas. Some funky yeast.

I wish the Belgian yeast was able to show more because it has some nice tropical fruits to it and the banana is a nice compliment and could have been stronger. Spicy and clove finish with a sugary chalky aftertaste.

Medium body, heavy carbonation.

With some fine tuning this can be really good. It's a little bit sugary and if that's dialed back and the banana pops more I think I'd be a bigger fan.

A - Vibrant clarity allows the shimmering golden beer to radiate beautifully but it's fleeting white head does little to capture some of the volatile aromatics that require another swirl or two to release.

S - There's no mistaking Butterfly Flashmob for anything other than a Belgian IPA with it's hopped up, classic Belgian yeast aroma. Damp white clay slathered on rocks paves the way for fruitier notes of bubblegum and banana with a hefty helping of coriander and lemongrass spice sprinkled with pepper. Lemon oil and dank notes of cannabis and pine sap signal American hops on the finish.

T - Tropical fruit splashes the tongue with mango, papaya, and juicy pineapple wedges that wonderfully compliment the spicy nature of the yeast; coriander seeds and ground white pepper interject before soft pils malt sweetness finishes out.

M - Soft carbonation quickly dances on the tongue before the beer's sweet smoothness takes over. Dryness robs the tongue of moisture from the 1-2 combo of hops and alcohol for a fairly crisp, mildly bitter finish!

O - Solemn Oath's Butterfly Flashmob is brewed with such quality and finesse that it's Belgian yeast bouquet is reminiscent of beers directly from across the pond. Aromatic, flavorful, and deceptively easy drinking, this Belgian IPA is brimming with a near perfect hops-to-yeast ratio.

A: Pours a golden-orange body. Fluffy, pillowy, bright white head.

S: Sweet peaches upfront. Yeast. Lemons. A subtle hint of green apple.

T: Whoa complexity that didn't come through in the nose. There's considerably more hop character than what was present in the waft. Sweet Apples, Lemons, and Oranges.

M: Medium body. Low-moderate carbonation. Oily.

O: Great first experience of Solemn Oath. The hidden complexity of this one was really cool. A very unique take on the traditional Belgian IPA. Dripping with juicy fruits. Well done SO.

Served in a tumbler at Firkin.

Another new offering from Solemn Oath courtesy of Solidarity. This stuff pours a clear straw topped by a finger of light cream-white foam. The nose comprises lemon peel, grapefruit peel, light banana peel, and mild toffee in the background. The taste holds notes of rindier lemon and grapefruit, sweet caramel, and bitter grass in the finish. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda dry finish. Overall, a generally solid brew, but one that doesn't express much of its supposedly innate Belgian-ness. Still fairly tasty, if a tad on the, for lack of a better word, boring side.

A- clean egg shell colored lacing with a light amber color.

S- sweet bananna bread, and grapefruit.

T- this beer is very drinkable, although it has a nice lone piney finish it does not leave you with a horrible hop "bite" the pine does linger from sip to sip. I also got a lot of citrus taste specifically grape fruit, kiwi. It has a medium body which adds to the smoothness.

M- it has a nice clean crisp feel. For an IPA it covers a lot of ground, spreads nicely over my palette.

O- this was my 2nd fav if the 4 beers we tasted, first was ooblette (spelled wrong) but I just really appreciated the balance of this beer, not to hoppy, not super sweet, not real thick and malty, the hop does hang out a little longer than I would like, but it is an IPA. thus is a new brewery and if they keep up the good work like this one I expect these guys to be big threat other local brewerys like 2 bros.

Clean golden colored pour with a finger of bright white head, slow dissipation. Smells like a spicy Belgian yeast with lots of grassy, herbal, and spicy hops... Is that sorachi ace? Bready, with a slight piney aroma.
The flavor is citrusy grapefruit mixed with white pepper, a bit of cloves from the Belgian yeast.. Shit, this is solid. Bready but sweet, hoppy but malty.. Perfect balance everywhere you can think of. Medium in body with medium carbonation.
This is fucking great. All the awesomeness of a Belgian ale with a massive citrusy hoppy overtone.

a really delicately done belgian ipa. the yeast isnt as intense or fruit ester heavy as so many of these that flood the market. not at all. its way more relaxed, and while it eats all the sugar in this thing giving it a real dry finish and awesome carbonation, it also flavors the beer only subtly, and lets the hops do the work, as it should be i say. light layer of haze to this otherwise radiant honey colored brew. an inch and a half of white head hangs around on top, while white lace adorns the edges of my tulip glass. the nose and taste of this beer are hops first. more grassy than bitter in smell, but with a definite freshness to them. a little spicy too on the palate, maybe the varietals, maybe the yeast, either way, its a cool sensation on the finish of an otherwise very dry ending. prickly carbonation is quite refreshing, while the general feeling of lightness and growth and sunlight and summer than hangs around this beer make it a nice porch drinker for the individual that isnt afraid of making 7% abv brews into a session. this is a great introduction to solemn oath for me, who looks to brew rather prolifically, with some 60 beers listed here. probably worth a visit sometime...

Pours light golden in color with some light amber hues and a thin quarter finger white head that has good retention. Good amount of carbonation bubbling up all over the glass.

Smell is really good. Some nice fresh vegetive herbal hops are forward along with a really nice Belgian aroma. Lots of coriander chamomile and cardamom are the strongest aroma and work beautifully with they herbal hops. The combination gives this an overall deep floral aroma that is really great.

Taste follows the nose for the most part. Deep vegetal Herbal hops are forward with lots of hoppy oils but low bitterness. More floral flavors of pollen and honey come out in the flavor then The aroma along with a slight hint of white pepper.

Mouthfeel is great, medium body and lots of hoppy oils and resin keep this drinkable yet not to light. Medium carbonation feel nicely balanced.

A - Light and clean orange/yellow with ~1" white head

S - Lots of Belgian yeast, bitterness, and hops.

T - Sour and bitter with orange and spice tones. Hops are more mild than expected given it's classification of Belgian IPA.

M - Chewy and bubbly. Clean finish.

O - Haven't tried to many Belgian IPAs. This beer seems to be more on the side of Belgian than pale ale. Would have liked a little more balance between the two styles. Overall a good beer and I'm glad I went with this beer as my first Solemn Oath. Will definitely try more of their beers. Prost!
