Beautiful Baltic amber pour with about an aggressive one inch whitish head. Foam recedes to wisps on top and scant lacing.
Huge wafts of melon especially honeydew. Fruity bubblegum. Resiny pine and caramelized sugars. This is really something special.
Hop driven grapefruit pith then resinous pine and then lays the light caramel malt. Nicely layered for the purists pleasure. After smacking the lips, a DIPA dankness is evident.
Medium mouthfeel. Prickly carbonation aid to sensationalize the bitters on the tongue. Abv toasted just right as this all lingers well into the cranium.
Winner winner chicken dinner! I had to stand up an applause such a well done craft. Truly a pleasure to spend time with and a wonderful neighbor to have. Another great DIPA in the Chicagoland area. Let the hits keep ona rollin'. Tremendously tremendous!!!

Ooooohhh I like this one. Probably my favorite offering from Solemn Oath yet. The beer poured a orange/copper clear with froathy white head that left a lace. The scent was pungent with pine and citrus. The taste was a very nice balance between sweeter malt and a nice piney citrus. There was also than nice oily resin that give the beer a nice body. The mouthfeel was full body with smooth carbonation. Overall it is a great beer....nice job SOB!

Clear and deep golden orange. Minimal head with active carbonation.
I love the aroma. Heavy on the pineapple and mango. Sweet malt.
Tropical fruit, bubble gum, and toasty.
Really clean mouthfeel. Prickly carbonation. Dry and bitter finish.
Definitely my favorite from SO to date. They're really starting to grow on me.

Sun yellow and slightly cloudy in appearance.
Slight citrus notes, spices, and bitterness from the hops.
Taste is very hop forward and slight spiced. I don't usually enjoy spiced IPAs bit this one ain't so bad.
Mouthfeel is very carbonated and does not have a strong booze appearance though it has an 8.5% abv.
Overall a modest showing from a growing brewery, not their greatest option, but they've got plenty of great brews and it is nice being within a half drive.

I tried this on tap at Quencher's Saloon in Chicago. $6 for a 10oz serving, served in a brandy snifter.
The beer poured an orange/rust color with a 1-finger white head that seemed to last forever. It also left a good amount of lacing.
Huge hop nose, and when I say huge, I mean huge. I didn't know whether to drink it or clean the floor with it - it was that piny.
The smell didn't lie - this was an overpowering hop bomb. While there is some caramel malt sweetness underneath, the pine and grapefdruit hops dominate everything. There's a whopping 115 IBU's worth of bitterness in here too. Too much of a good thing if you ask me.
Thick, creamy, and full bodied, with higher than average carbonation, which keeps the hops dancing around on your tongue.
Too one dimensional for me, but if you're a hop hound, you have to give this one a try.

Had this at the Naperville Ale Fest and it was the first time trying anything by SOB for me. A 3oz dark amber pour with about a one finger off white head. A very citrusy (grapefruit/orange) aroma with hints of pine tree. The taste follows the aroma but also has a caramel sweetness poking in and out as you sip this.
