On tap at Societe.
Beautiful beer that just punches you in the face with that really unique and wonderful Mosaic characteristic. I could identify the hop before I even got close to the glass. It was just oozing Mosaic. The taste followed thru with a really clean malt bill and just tons of greatness. Bow down to Societe on this one.

Golden pale color, slight white cap of head (careful pour from an SS growler), tiny bubbles rise to the top, a bit of splotchy lacing.
The aroma is a veritable bowl of tropical fruit salad that includes overripe mangos, pineapple, and nectarine. Incredible nose on this one.
More of the same descriptions from the aroma carry into the taste quite nicely, and it becomes more apparent upon warming that this is a glorious representation of the Mosaic hop. Very fruit punchy in the flavor department.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side, lightly carbonated and soft on the palate. Dry and crisp, lingering moderate bitterness.
More and more I am becoming a fan of single hop ales: the ability to zero in on the specifics and characteristics of an individual hop is a learning experience for me. I've enjoyed a variety of beers from Societe over the past year: add The Bachelor Mosaic to that list! Thanks as always Sir Paul!

Clear pale amber body capped by a finger of clinging froth. Nose is pretty damn dank and tropical fruit heavy, like overripe mango and guava. Notes of blueberry, pineapple, doughy malt. Huge aromatics, this is impressive. On the palate there's a lot of the same tropical fruit flavor, minus the sweetness. Guava, mango, blueberry, soft bready malt. Light-bodied, dry, pretty impeccably balanced. Mildly bitter finish. This is pretty damn impressive, an amazing mosaic showcase.

Single hop IPA made with only Mosaic. On draft at Societe. Burnished yellow gold with two fingers of white froth. Scattered lacing and perfect clarity. The aroma is full of white peach, Meyer lemon, and floral character. I also get gooseberry, white grape, and a touch of onion as well. There's also a bit of passion fruit and even some pineapple. Clean and dry with a light saltine cracker note. Moderately bitter with ample hop flavor that brings to mind tangerine, white peach, orange, and grapefruit rind and flesh. Malt imparts no sweetness or detectable flavor. There's a light tropical presence throughout. The bitter finish is dry, clean, and crisp, with lingering fruity hop notes. The body is upper light to the very low end of medium. Carbonation is at an upper moderate level. The best of the Bachelor series by far. Great.

A - clear, straw-yellow with a single finger head that clings to the glass.
S - a massive blast of tropical fruit. Grapefruit, peaches, mango, pineapple.
T - really nice firm bitterness. Tropical fruit, grapefruit, piney, resinous notes with some citrus flavors as well.
M - full, slightly bitter. Very pleasant.
O - another amazing ipa from societe.

Societe Brewing Co.
San Diego, CA
Clear dark yellow and golden. Moderately-sized, somewhat persistent, near-white head. Not particularly sticky, though this leaves some residue down the glass. Pretty and appropriate San Diego IPA.
Lots of dank, sticky marijuana aroma butted up against earth and citrus rind--almost has a lemon note to it, unsurprisingly, like some really fine marijuanas do as well. Some other assorted leafy, floral hints.
Moderately bitter along with lots of the dank/marijuana/resin flavors found in the aroma. Some bitter grapefruit zest and a tiny bit of lemon. Hop-forward beauty.
Medium bodied with crisp, near-high carbonation. I worry these beers have been thin in the past, but this one is spectacular in body and drinkability. This one is perfect.
My favorite of the Bachelor lineup yet.
